The New Lexington boys and Zanesville girls picked up South Central Ohio Conference match wins Thursday at Fiore Lanes.
The Panthers boys (2-2) won 2,162-2,110 behind a 225-435 series by B.J. Eads. Jacob Hankinson added a 211-382 and Chase Shiplett 203-381 for the Panthers, who had Baker games of 158 and 202.
Matt Devoll rolled a season-high 235-459 series and Brandon Lear had 205-386 for the Blue Devils (2-1, 3-1). They had Baker games of 159 and 164.
The Zanesville girls (3-0, 4-0) won 1,967-1,796 as Erika Savage rolled 209-388, Patsy Tyo 203-372 and Carmie Shook 195-366 for the Lady Devils, who posted Bakers of 133 and 162. Brianna Carney (224-402) and Morgan Stickdorn (184-344) led New Lex, which had 131 in both Bakers.
The Panthers won the boys reserve match 1,871-1,640. Kody Siemer's 224-404 and Dalton Erwin's 190-380 led New Lex. The Blue Devils were led by Devin Murgatroyd with a 213-406 and Isaiah Bell with a 157-309.
Zanesville will bowl in Baker Marathon on Saturday at the Columbus Bowling Palace.
