ROUNDUP: Lindsay's Rangel scores 7, closes in on record

Golden West High School is looking for three coaches for the 2013-14 school year.

The Trailblazers need a varsity girls tennis coach, varsity cheer coach and girls junior varsity water polo coach.

Girls Soccer

Lindsay 8, Corcoran 1: Jannely Rangel scored seven more goals as the Cardinals beat the Panthers during an East Sequoia League match Friday in Corcoran.

Rangel now has 36 goals this season for Lindsay (10-10, 5-1), putting her two away from the single season school record of 38.

Tulare Western 4, Delano 0: Courtney Camara and Anyssa Dominguez each scored two goals as the Mustangs beat the Tigers in an East Yosemite League match.

Dominguez and Haley Dewitt Martinez each assited a goal for Tulare Western (13-3-2, 4-1). Rachel Costa and Lauren Delgado combined for the shutout in goal.

Tulare Union 2, Monache 0: Breanne Martinho and Linzee Gilliland each scored for the Redskins during an EYL win over the Maurauders in Tulare.

Martinho also assisted the goal by Gilliland for Tulare Union (13-6-3, 5-0-1).

Mission Oak 1, Porterville 0: The Hawks defeated the Panthers in overtime in an EYL match in Porterville.

Allison Serpa scored the match's lone goal in the 98th minute for Mission Oak (10-5-3, 4-1-1). Mission Oak coach John Pimentel noted that his team received outstanding defensive play.

Central Valley Christian 2, Selma 0: Taylor Van Den Berg scored on a corner kick from Lauren te Velde for the Cavaliers 19 minutes into a Central Sequoia League win over the Bears in Selma.

Moriah Gonzales scored an insurance goal for CVC (8-7-3, 5-0-1) in the 27th minute.

Kingsburg 2, Exeter 0: The Vikings used two first-half goals to beat the Monarchs during a CSL match.

Boys Soccer

Mission Oak 2, Porterville 1: Brian Munoz scored both goals for the Hawks during an EYL win over the Panthers in Tulare.

Selma 2, Central Valley Christian 1: The Bears netted two goals in the final 20 minutes of a CSL win over the Cavaliers in Visalia.

Kyle Vizzolini scored the only goal for CVC (8-9-1, 1-4-1) in the 30th minute. Blake Jacobi made nine saves.

Exeter 2, Kingsburg 1: Juan Castillo and Jose Correa each scored for the Monarchs during a CSL win over the Vikings in Kingsburg.

Exeter (3-10-2, 3-3) has now won three games in a row.

Farmersville 2, McFarland 0: Pedro Berber and Freddy Vazquez each scored second half goals as the Aztecs beat the Cougars during an ESL match in McFarland.

Berber scored on a free kick in the 68th minute for Farmersville (17-3-2, 5-0). Ramon Franco assisted Vazquez's goal in the 75th minute.

Boys Basketball

Monache 49, Tulare Western 46: The Maurauders beat the Mustangs in a EYL game despite not featuring a single scorer with double digit points.

Adam Kittrell led Monache (7-10, 1-3) with 9 points. Sal Arredondo scored eight.

Kobe Portillo led Tulare Western (5-14, 2-2) with 15 points. Robin DeShazer scored 10.

Central Valley Christian 51, Selma 50: Austin Moons scored 15 points as the Cavaliers beat the Bears during a CSL game in Visalia.

Dinuba 65, Immanuel 27: Ernesto Ruiz scored 12 points as the Emperors (17-4, 3-1) beat the Eagles during a CSL game in Dinuba.

Exeter 58, Kingsburg 56: Four Monarchs scored double digit points to beat the Vikings during a CSL game in Kingsburg.

Caleb Harden scored 14, Dominic Casario and Eli Garver each netted 12 and Cody Tilley had 11 for Exeter (15-4, 2-2), which trailed 29-25 at halftime after scoring only two second period points.

Woodlake 60, Sierra Pacific 54: Jaykob Rodriguez scored 20 points as the Tigers beat the Golden Bears during an ESL game in Woodlake.

Marcelo Silva added 14 points and Armando Martinez netted 11 for Woodlake (5-10, 2-2).

Lindsay 65, Corcoran 61: Gaven Mann scored 29 points as the Cardinals beat the Panthers during an ESL game in Lindsay.

Jacob Hernandez added 14 points for Lindsay (12-8, 2-2), which rallied from a 50-44 deficit after the third quarter.

Girls Basketball

Strathmore 40, Granite Hills 24: Vianay Gonzalez scored 18 points and made 15 rebounds as the Spartans beat the Grizzlies during an ESL game in Strathmore.

Marisol Cerda led Granite Hills (3-10, 0-4) with nine points. Shelby Vanasen scored seven for Strathmore (8-13, 3-1) with seven rebounds and seven assists.

Kingsburg 37, Exeter 29: The Vikings beat the Monarchs during a CSL game that saw only one point scored in the opening period in Exeter.

Jacque Hutcheson and Danica Todd led Exeter (12-8, 2-2) with six points each.

Woodlake 50, Sierra Pacific 45: Regina Ramirez scored 21 points as the Tigers beat the Golden Bears during an ESL game in Hanford.

Erika Edwards added 15 points for Woodlake (7-10, 1-3).
