Memorable day for Tulare County cross-country runners

Bilvado, Reid, Silva, Zorn, Knevelbard win titles

It was a memorable day for the boys and girls runners competing at the Central Section championship meet on Thursday at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Tulare County runners brought home five individual championships, and four schools captured team titles.

El Diamante sophomore runner Jacob Bilvado was the fastest Tulare County champion. He won the Division II title with a time of 15 minutes, 49 seconds.

Exeter's Robert Reid won the Division IV title with a time of 16:12.

Reid also led the Monarchs to the Division IV team title.

The top time for a Tulare County girls champion went to Exeter's Yesenia Silva, who won Division IV with a time of 18:41.

She also led the Monarchs to a team Division IV championship.

Monache sophomore JoJo Zorn won the individual Division II title with a time of 18:43.

Central Valley Christian's Annechiena Knevelbard captured the Division V indvidual girls title with a time of 20:16.

She also led the Cavaliers to the Division V team championship.

The Central Valley Christian boys also captured a Division V title.

The next cross country meet will be the CIF State championship meet on Nov. 24 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
