Exeter's Yesenia Silva enjoyed the best finish amongst Tulare County runners taking part in the CIF State Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Fresno's Woodward Park.
Silva took fifth place in the Division IV girls race with a time of 18 minutes, 32 seconds. Her strong finish coupled with teammate Sara Reid finishing 24th allowed Exeter to post a 10th-place in the Division IV girls team standings.
Exeter was 15th in the Division IV boys teams standings. Robert Reid posted the best time for the Monarchs (16:35), and took 30th place.
Central Valley Christian's Annechiena Knevelbaard had the best finish amongst Central Section runners in the Division V girls race. Knevelbaard was 34th (20:00), and teammate Shani Slabber was 37th (20:00).
El Diamante's Jacob Bilvado finished 35th out of 184 runners in the Division II boys race with a time of 16:03.
In the Division II girls race, Monache's Jordyn Zorn was 32nd (18:49).
Mission Oak's David Carrasco (17:03) was 115th out of 193 runners in the Division III boys race.
