It was a busy day for Central Valley Christian High School on Saturday.
All four winter sports teams - boys and girls basketball and boys and girls soccer - traveled to Bakersfield Christian to compete in a series of nonleague games, and all four came back to Visalia with victories.
Soccer
The CVC girls won their match 3-0 to improve to 3-6-2 on the season as they get ready for Central Sequoia League play, which begins Tuesday against Selma.
The CVC boys led 1-0 at halftime before a scoring outburst took place in the second half. The Cavaliers went on to win 4-2 in overtime.
The CVC boys improved to 7-5. They will play at Selma on Tuesday in a CSL game.
Basketball
The CVC girls won their game 53-43.
Kristin Stone led the way with 16 points, and Lindsey Calvin added 12.
The CVC boys edged Bakersfield Christian 43-39.
Austin Moons led the way with a team-high 12 points for the Cavaliers, and Alex te Velde and Craig Kampen each added eight points.
