Grade: Junior

Highlights: The Tulare County player of the year and All-West Yosemite League first team selection finished with 329 kills. She also had 25 blocks.

Comments: "She was hard to read. She got her kills in a variety of ways. The biggest deception she had was hitting down the line. The way she was facing and was able to hit across her body to fool a lot of defenders down the line, she fooled a lot of people." -- El Diamante coach Leslie Sorensen

Comments: "I think it is her experience playing the game that makes her highly effective. We are very fortunate to have her and 10 of the 12 girls back. She is a key player for us." -- Woodlake coach Tori Johnson

Comments: "She is very consistent in any skill that she does with volleyball -- passing, setting, spiking, serving. She is a leader and she practices very hard. She is there to learn and work hard, which makes her a better player all around." -- Redwood coach Janeece Thompson

Highlights: The East Yosemite League MVP finished the season with 332 kills and 281 digs.

Comments: "She's very coachable. She's like a third coach on the court. She was one of our top servers and had one of our highest passing rates. We're overjoyed she was EYL MVP and that she's coming back next year." -- Tulare Western coach Danielle Griffiths

Highlights: The All-Central Sequoia League first team selection finished the season with 441 digs, 181 kills and 42 aces.

Comments: "Tess is such a blessing to coach. She listens close, works hard, learns fast and is an exceptional athlete. She has the ability to keep any ball alive for us in the back court and is just as dependable as an attacker in the front row." -- CVC coach Meghan Warkentin

Taylor Van Den Berg
