Winston-Salem, NC - The NewBridge Bank Football & Cheerleading Jamboree continues to raise to money for local schools in the Triad.
24 cheerleading squads participated at Tuesday's Cheer Competition.
Wednesday held the Annual Jamboree Luncheon in the Deacon Tower of Wake Forest University's BB&T Field.
Hosted by WFMY News 2's Sports Anchor Brian Formica and Anchor Carol Andrews, the luncheon serves as an honor to coaches and administrators in the local school systems.
One of the key parts of the luncheon is the honoring of the Rich Brenner Life Leader Award.
This year has two recipients:
Mark Boyd, History Teacher and Head JV Football Coach at West Stokes High School.
Jim Clontz, Athletic Director at Western Guilford High School.
The Football Jamboree takes place on Friday, August 10th at West Davidson High School, Mount Tabor High School, and Rockingham County High School.
