Kristin Sessler picked up her 1,000th kill this season and will go down as one of St. Joseph Central Catholic's all-time great outside hitters.
Sessler, a star for the Crimson Streaks since her freshman year, recently earned a spot on the Midland Athletic League's first-team for the third time as the league announced its all-conference honors. Seniors Amanda Binder (235 kills and 60 blocks) of SJCC and Kristin Bender (279 kills, 48 blocks and 199 digs) of Old Fort earned second-team honors.
Those that earned honorable mention honors included: Bettsville's Brittney Koch and Maranda Bison; Lakota's Alaina Bickford and Stephanie Miller; Old Fort's Krista Ward; and SJCC's Cassidy Frank and Josie Weickert.
MAL player of the year honors went to Mohawk's Sarah Parker. Warriors' coach Eric Hoover was the coach of the year.
