Will a "sponger" or a "dreadnaught" be declared the best high school mascot in America?

10 News partner USA Today High School Sports is looking for America's top high school mascot. The staff picked 255 of the nation's most unique high school mascots (five per state + Washington, D.C.) The winner will be chosen through a series of rounds--beginning with a state competition that ends March 5th. The 51 state winners will advance to round two where they will be divided among regions, then the six regional winners will compete for the national title.

The choices for Florida include the Spongers from Tarpon Springs High, the Lakeland High Dreadnaughts, the Cornerstone Charter Academy Fighting Ducks from Orlando and the Key West Conchs and the Laurel Hill Hoboes.

The nation winner receives $2000 for its athletic department. Second place gets $1000, third ($500), fourth ($250), and fifth ($100.)
