Tampa, FL-- East Lake High and Mitchell High, each won semifinal games in the Lightning Cup competition at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, for high school hockey.
East Lake defeated River Ridge, 7-3, after falling behind 3-1 in the early going.
Mitchell defeated Jesuit, 6-4, in the 2nd semifinal.
The Lightning Cup final is Wednesday at 7:40pm, at the TBT Forum. It will be preceded by the first-ever Lightning Conference All-Star Game at 5:45pm Wednesday.
