In a battle of two unbeaten teams Friday night, the fans sure got their money's worth in the game between Wharton and Durant.
In the first, Durant would strike first blood as Terry Grimsley picked off Wharton QB Chase Litton, and took it back to the house for a 30-yard touchdown.
But it wouldn't take long for Wharton to strike back as Litton connected from 13 yards out to Keith Hopkins to even things at 6-6.
In the 3rd quarter Chase Litton was at it again as he used the deep ball for a 56-yard touchdown strike to Deon Sampson.
That lead was short lived however as Durant took a one point lead on a 6 yard run from Chris Atkins.
In the end it came down to a missed extra point as Durant improves to 4-0 on the season.
