Clearwater, Florida -- Countryside Cougar's running back Mike Jerrido is the Southern Ford Dealers Player of the Week.
The senior rushed for 126 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns last Friday, in Countryside's big district win over previously unbeaten Northeast.
Jerrido, the teams leading rusher, spreads the love when it comes to his favorite teammates, the offensive linemen.
"Without them, I wouldn't get the yardage I get, I wouldn't get the touchdowns that I get. So you know, they do all the hard work and I just run. They're my best friends. They open up the hoes for me and I do what I gotta do for them."
With the win, the Cougars stay unbeaten in district play at 2-0. and go to 5-1 overall.
