Lincoln High senior Scott Fortier caps his career with a fourth Big Bend Boys Swimmer of the Year honor, sharing the title for a second year with Chiles' Alex Dehner. Chiles' Alyssa Yambor-Maul and Cece Williams, who each earned automatic All-American honors in individual and relay events, share the Girls Swimmer of the Year title. Florida High's Richmond Abellera (Boys) and Chiles' Allison Greene (Girls) earn Diver of the Year honors. And Florida High's Lisa Walker is the 2012 Big Bend Coach of the Year

Lisa Walker, Florida High: Coach of the Year. Has helped build the Florida High program into a competitive team that is now a factor at district, regional level.

Allison Greene, Chiles: Girls Diver of the Year.

Cece Williams, Chiles: Girls Co-Swimmer of the Year.

Alyssa Yambor-Maul, Chiles: Girls Co-Swimmer of the Year.

Richmond Abellera, Florida High: Boys Diver of the Year.

Alex Dehner, Chiles: Boys Co-Swimmer of the Year.

Scott Fortier, Lincoln: Boys Co-Swimmer of the Year.

Girls Swimming and Diving

First team

Makayla Ayers, Chiles, sophomore: Placed 12th in the 200-yard freestyle and 11th in the 500 free at the Class 2A state meet. Swam leg on 200 free relay that placed 10th.

Delaney Barnard, Chiles, junior: Anchor leg on 400 free and 200 medley relay teams that won at Class 2A state meet. The free relay earned automatic All-American honors; the medley relay earned All-American consideration. Placed 6th in the 50 free and 3rd in the 100 free at state. Earned All-American consideration in the 100 free.

Hannah Capers, Chiles, senior: Placed 4th in 500 free at Class 2A state meet. Swam anchor leg on 200 free relay that placed 10th. Signed with Drury.

Allison Greene, Chiles, sophomore: Top local finisher at Class 2A state diving meet, placing 5th with a score of 357.70.

Claire Kercheval-Roig, Leon, freshman: Only local freshman to place top-8 at state, finishing 8th in the 100 back at the Class 2A meet. Also placed 11th in the 100 fly.

Ali Lombardi, Chiles, sophomore: Placed 8th in the 100 breast at Class 2A state meet. Also placed 15th in the 200 free.

Lia Lombardi, Chiles, senior: Placed 3rd in the 100 breast and 3rd in the 200 IM at Class 2A state meet. Swam third leg on 400 free relay that won and earned automatic All-American honors. Swam second leg on 200 medley relay that earned All-American consideration. Signed with Penn.

Olivia Nash, Leon, junior: Placed ninth at Region 1-2A meet, missing the chance to compete at state by one place.

Lauren Peavy, Chiles, sophomore: Placed 4th in the 200 IM at Class 2A state meet and 9th in the 100 breast.

Sydney Simpson, Lincoln, senior: Placed 10th in the 100 fly and 12th in the 100 breast at Class 2A state meet.

Cece Williams, Chiles, junior: Won and set automatic All-American mark in the 200 free at Class 2A state meet. Placed 2nd and set another auto All-American mark in 500 free. Swam lead-off leg on 400 free relay that won and earned automatic All-American honors. Swam backstroke leg on 200 medley relay that won and earned All-American consideration. First-time earning Swimmer of the Year honors.

Alyssa Yambor-Maul, Chiles, senior: Won and set automatic All-American mark in 100 fly at Class 2A state meet. Placed 3rd and earned All-American consideration in 100 back. Swam second leg on 400 free relay that won and earned automatic All-American honors. Swam butterfly leg on 200 medley relay that won and earned All-American consideration. Shares Swimmer of the Year honors for a second straight year. Signed with Florida.

Joey Briggs, Rickards, senior: Placed 8th in the 200 free and 13th in 500 free at Class 1A state meet. Also swam second leg on 200 free relay that placed 8th at state and swam anchor on 400 free relay that placed 13th. Shared Swimmer of the Year honors as a junior. Signed with Florida.

Andrew Chen, Rickards, senior: Placed 20th in 100 breast and 21st in 50 free at Class 1A state meet. Swam leg on 200 free relay that placed 8th and a leg on 400 free relay that placed 13th at state.

Josh Cottle, Maclay, junior: Placed 18th in 200 IM and 24th in 500 free at Class 1A state meet.

Alex Dehner, Chiles, senior: Placed 2nd and earned All-American consideration in both the 200 free and 100 back at Class 2A state meet. Also swam lead-off leg on 400 free relay that placed 7th and swam backstroke leg on 200 medly relay that placed 13th. Shares Swimmer of the Year honors for a second straight year. Signed with Florida.

Scott Fortier, Lincoln, senior: Placed 3rd and earned automatic All-American honors in the 500 free at Class 2A state meet. Placed 4th and earned All-American consideration in the 100 fly. Won or shared Swimmer of the Year honors all four years at Lincoln. Signed with Alabama.

Joey Leonard, Lincoln, senior: Placed 17th in the 50 free at Class 2A state meet.

Brett Martin, Chiles, sophomore: Placed 8th in 100 fly at Class 2A state meet. Swam second leg on 400 free relay that placed 7th and 2nd leg on 200 medley relay that placed 13th.

Riley Ralston-Crandall, Rickards, senior: Placed 10th in both 50 free and 100 free at Class 1A state meet Also swam leadoff legs on 200 free relay (8th) and 400 free relay (13th) that placed at state. Signed with Indian River State College.
