Farmerville High School student Jaleel Gipson died this morning after being taken off life support after fracturing a vertebrate in his neck at football practice this past week.

Shreveport to honor area state champions

Shreveport-area high schools produced multiple state champions in the past school year. Those champions, including an Evangel baseball team that won the Class 2A state title last Saturday in Monroe, will be recognized Tuesday at 3 p.m. by Shreveport mayor Cedric Glover and the city council.
