Loyola's fast start continued in Baton Rouge on Thursday.

Playing in the St. Michael's Tournament, the Lady Flyers hammered West Ouachita, 51-20, using a huge second half to produce the victory.

Leading 13-10 at the half, the Lady Flyers (4-1) found their offensive rhythm in the second half. Hannah Russell and Amber Smith each scored 13 points to lead Loyola, which kept the Lady Chiefs from producing a double-figure individual scorer.

Evangel 52, Caldwell Parish 34

At Evangel, the host Lady Eagles turned up the defense at the start of each half, setting the tone for the easy victory. Evangel allowed just 10 points in the first and third quarters to improve to 4-2. Leah Johnson and Jakaris Whitaker each had 11 points to lead the Lady Eagles. Johnson added 13 rebounds for a double-double.

Huntington 61, Red River 50

At the Bossier Lady Kats Invitational, Caitlin Jenkins' game-high 24 points led the Lady Raiders to the victory. After taking an eight-point lead after the first quarter, Huntington watched Caldwell tie the game after three quarters. The Lady Raiders, however, used a 23-point fourth quarter to seal the win. Desitini Ruffins (13) and Tanisha Bridges (11) joined Jenkins as double-figure scorers for Huntington.

Mansfield 41, BTW 22

At the Bossier Lady Kats Invitational, the Wolverines jumped to a 10-point lead after the first quarter and cruised past the Lady Lions, who have struggled offensively in the tournament.

Green Oaks 54, Woodlawn 31

At the Bossier Lady Kats Invitational, Princess Davis continued her early-season surge, leading three Lady Giants in double figures with 13 points. The Lady Giants won their second game in as many days. Green Oaks defeated BTW in Wednesday's opening round of the tournament.

Ruston 58, Minden 53

At the Jack Clayton Invitational, Carmela Specks' game-high 21 points weren't enough to keep the Lady Tiders from falling to the Lady Bearcats. Mia Gill added 12 points for Minden, which fell behind by nine points after the first quarter. The Lady Tiders recoverd and took a one-point lead into the final quarter, but could not maintain it.

Haughton 59, Richwood 50

At the Jack Clayton Invitational, the host Lady Bucs grabbed an early lead then held off the Lady Rams. Eboné Green led the Lady Bucs (2-1) with a game-high 24 points while Brittany Robinette chipped in 10 points, including Haughton's lone 3-pointer.
