GRANITE BAY, CA - Cheerleaders, faculty and parents at Granite Bay High School got up early Thursday morning to see the football team off as they head to Southern California for the Division I State Bowl Championship.
Granite Bay has won back to back section titles, but this is their first time going to the State Bowl Championship game. The team beat Elk Grove in the section title game and Saint Ignatius out of San Francisco in the Northern California finals in order to get to the bowl game.
Granite Bay will take on Long Beach Poly at 8 p.m. on Friday in Carson, Calif.
