SACRAMENTO, CA - The top-seeded lady Falcons of Christian Brothers demonstrated some smothering defense en route to a blowout 82-43 victory over (4) Placer on Tuesday at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento.

Christian Brothers (23-7) have now won 11 in a row and advance to the Sac-Joaquin Girls Division III High School Basketball Section Finals. They will face (2) Vanden (26-3) from Fairfield on Friday at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
Vanden defeated (6) Modesto Christian 66-50 to advance to the Section Finals, winning their 18th straight game.
