Fairport defeats Canandaigua

Senior forward Shea Green scored twice to power Fairport to its seventh straight victory with a 5-1 win against Canandaigua in a Section V hockey game on Thursday.

Ryan Romeo and Kyle Spaiches each had a pair of assists for the Red Raiders (7-2), who had three power-play goals.

Jake Newkirk made 24 saves in the win.

Canandaigua is 4-2.

Pittsford 9, Greece Arcadia/Olympia 2

Nick Panara scored twice and assisted on two others and Greg Weyl added a goal and two assists for Pittsford (6-1).

Natalie Meyer made 13 saves in her first game in goal.

Chris Perna chipped in a goal and an assist for the Panthers, who scored four goals in the second period.

Spencerport 4, Gates Chili 0

Nick Charron tallied a goal and two assists and Zack Hart added a goal and an assist for Spencerport (2-6).

Jamie Cammilleri and Jackson Charron also scored for the Rangers.

James Maier made 19 saves in the shutout.

Geneseo/Livonia 6, Central Square-III 1

Derek Bishopp had three goals and an assist to lead the Lakers (4-2).

Trevor Mothersell scored twice with two assists and Brandon Holley added a goal and an assist for Geneseo/Livonia.

Webster Thomas 8, Geneva/Waterloo 0

Derek Amann, Matt Fiore and Matt Weishaar each scored their first varsity goal for the Titans (6-1).

Brighton/E.R./HF-L 6, Rush-Henrietta 1

Ernie Clement and Michael Finestone each had two goals and an assist for the Barons (4-3).

Parker Finestone and Connor Rotenberg added a goal and an assist apiece for Brighton/E.R./HF-L.

Justin Gardner, Erick Burgwardt, David DeLaus and Jacob Shanks broke the HF-L pool reocrd in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.07) for the Cougars (7-1).

Gardner also won the 100 backstroke (1:05.89) and Shanks took first in the 50 freestyle (23.40) for HF-L.

Lucas Reisch of Geneva (5-2) broke a 20-year pool record in the 200 freestyle (1:45.21) and also won the 100 freestyle (49.13).

Brighton 107, Newark 77

Noah Stevens broke a school record in the 100 butterfly (54.94) and also won the 100 backstroke (1:01.81) for Brighton (2-3).

Ian Graves placed first in the 100 freestyle (57.84) and 200 freestyle (2:01.13) and Miles LeComer won the 200 individual medley (2:15.18) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.04) for the Barons.

McQuaid 100, Palmyra-Macedon 81

Nathan Antetomaso won the 200 freestyle (1:56.66) and 100 butterfly (55.55) and Greg Klumpp took first in the 50 freestyle (23.94) and 100 freestyle (53.45) for McQuaid (3-0).

Gage Geldorf won the 500 freestyle (5:47.27) for Pal-Mac (4-2).
