Anthony DePetres scores 4 goals in Aquinas hockey victory

Junior Anthony DePetres finished with four goals and two assists to power Aquinas to a 4-2 win over Batavia Notre Dame Saturday in Section V hockey at Lakeshore.

Junior Jimmy DiLiberto had four assists for Aquinas (3-0).

Junior Mike Buonaugurio added his first varsity goal and junior Jake Gottorff also scored for Aquinas.

Zach Blew and Parker Brinkworth each scored for Notre Dame.

Junior Justin Nevinger recorded 24 saves for the win.

Webster Schroeder 2, Penfield 2 (OT)

Glenn Roschetzky scored his first varsity goal with 4:41 remaining to tie the game and force overtime for Penfield (1-1-1).

Alex D'Augustino had a goal in the first period for the Patriots to tie the game 1-1.

Trevor Heckathorn and Joe Schuler each scored go-ahead goals for Schroeder.

Irondequoit 3, Batavia 0

Anthony Thurston finished with two goals and Graham Gooch added a power-play goal in the third period to go along with an assist for Irondequoit (2-1).

Vinnie Guida stopped 18 shots for the Eagles.

Trevor Rarick made 23 saves for Batavia (0-1).

McQuaid 6, La Salle-CHSAA 0

Mike Capicotto finished with three goals and Wes Mallory chipped in two for McQuaid (4-0).

Fairport 2, Massena-X 1

Alex Schoepfel scored off a pass from Ryan Romeo in the second period to snap a 1-1 tie for the Red Raiders (1-2) in the consolation game.

Severin Parrow scored his first varsity goal in the first period off a pass from Brent Mazurkiewicz and Brian Mulhern for Fairport.

Jake Newkirk stopped 22 saves for the win.

Brighton/ER/HF-L 5, Victor 2

Connor Rotenberg recorded a hat trick and Michael Finestone added two goals and an assist for the Barons (2-0).

Victor is 0-2.

Basketball

Warsaw 43, Attica 39

Dan DeGraff scoerd 12 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to help Warsaw rally in the championship game.

Joe Neeley chipped in 10 points for the Tigers, who outscored Attica 17-7 in the fourth quarter.

Zack Kozma scored 15 points and Nick James added 11 for Attica (1-1).
