Roundup: South Tahoe girls eke out overtime win against Wooster

The South Tahoe girls basketball team had two players score in double digits to take a 53-51 overtime win over Wooster on Wednesday at home.

Hannah Neiger had 18 points, and Bailey David added 12 for South Tahoe.

Alexes Rodriguez led the way for the Colts, scoring 15 points. Also in double-digit scoring were Trisha Christy (12), Jolene Fry (12) and Summer Dressler (10).

Girls Basketball

NORTH VALLEYS 40, LOWRY 38 at North Valleys: Haley Bowen scored 24 points, including 20 in the second half, to buoy the Panthers to a two-point victory.

Bowen also pulled down nine rebounds and had five steals. Stephanie Lyons had eight rebounds for North Valleys (4-2, 2-2 High Desert).

For Lowry, Kylee McClellan had 12 points.

Boys Basketball

WILD WEST SHOOTOUT: The Bishop Gorman boys basketball team cruised to a 65-37 win over Bishop Manogue in the opening game of the Wild West Shootout at Bishop Manogue.

Today's schedule features Galena vs. Hug at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 3-point and a slam dunk contest. Mountain View (Ariz.) and Douglas play at 7:30 p.m.
