Roundup: Crowley, Damonte boys stop Wooster

David Crowley scored 29 points on 13 field goals and 3-of-5 free throws Tuesday to lead Damonte Ranch to a 74-62 victory over visiting Wooster.

Nick Solano (12) and Kyle Daugherty (11) also reached double-digit scoring for the Mustangs. For Wooster, JJ Harloff had 18 points and Deshawn Pughsley added 16.

Boys Basketball

HUG 62, REED 60 at Hug: Masaki Nayayama scored 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and knocked down four 3-pointers. The Hawks trailed by 13 at halftime and by six to start the fourth.

The Raiders' Trae Wells finished with 23 points.

McQUEEN 73, NORTH VALLEYS 62 at North Valleys: Kody Eckert scored 16 points to lead the Lancers. Bryce Harnack (11) and Kendall Deewees (11) also scored in double figures. For the Panthers, Mauricio Varela had 18 points.

SPANISH SPRINGS 56, RENO 51 at Reno: Kenny Meyer scored 16 points and TJ McCauley added 15 for the Cougars. Jakob Rolling led Reno with 13.

Girls Basketball

NORTH VALLEYS 56, MCQUEEN 39 at North Valleys: The Panthers' Haley Bowen finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and six steals and Taylor Dockter added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lancers' Jordyn Jackson scored 11 points in the loss.

DAMONTE RANCH 40, WOOSTER 33 at Damonte Ranch: Morgan Waller scored 15 points and teammate Gianella Bianca Camara had 10 to lead the Mustangs past the Colts, who were led by Trisha Christy's 10 points.

REED 69, HUG 18 at Hug: Gabby Williams and Megan Dettling each scored 16 points to lead the Raiders. Dettling tallied four 3-pointers. Teammate Tina Vernon added 14 points.

DOUGLAS 53, GALENA 26 at Galena: McKenna Kynett scored 12 points to lead the Tigers. Diana Regaldo added seven, while Desiree Cage had six points.

Paige Brown and Kaitlyn Hawthorne each scored 11 points for the Grizzlies.

PERSHING COUNTY 69, BATTLE MOUNTAIN 31 at Battle Mountain: Sarita Jo Condie led Pershing County with 25 points and Melissa Gonzalez added 16. For Battle Mountain, Abbie Mikelson finished with 12 points.

INCLINE 55, SILVER STAGE 25 at Incline: Kortney Soli was the leading scorer for Incline with 16 points, including one 3-pointer. Teammate Kyra Porter contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

TRUCKEE 46, FERNLEY 30 at Truckee: Sydney English scored 21 points for the Wolverines.

NORTH TAHOE 38, COLEVILLE 24 at Coleville: Sara Trimm and Angela Wood each scored 11 points to lead the Lakers.
