High School roundup: Manogue rolls past North Valleys

Remy Dillard scored 17 points as the Bishop Manogue boys basketball team earned a 67-29 win over host North Valleys on Friday.

Zach Wurm added 13 points and James Sandoval had 10 for the Miners.

Jesse Krueger led the Panthers with 15 points.

Boys basketball

GALENA 75, RENO 52 at Galena: Caleb Wood scored 25 points and EJ Poulsen added 18 to lead the Grizzlies.

Connor Bush had 10 for the Huskies.

SPANISH SPRINGS 67, WOOSTER 58 at Wooster: T.J. McCauley scored 21 points to lead the Cougars (1-1).

For Wooster (1-1), Deshawn Pughsley scored 28 points, including two of the Colts' six 3-pointers.

Girls basketball

BISHOP MANOGUE 67, NORTH VALLEYS 36 at North Valleys: Gabbi Concepcion scored 15 points, Brianna Holt had 11 and Kelly Lujan and Hannah Santos each scored 10 for the Miners.

Haley Bowen led the Panthers with 14 points and Taylor Dockter added 11.

SPANISH SPRINGS 57, CENTER 32 at Sacramento: The Cougars went on the road to score an easy nonleague win.

Spanish Springs (2-0) led 13-2 in the game's opening minutes and was never threatened. Lyndsey Anderson (13 points), Riley Holladay (12) and Lanesha Terrance (11) combined for 36 points for Spanish Springs.

Mariah Vargas added 10 points in the Cougars' balanced attack.

SAGE RIDGE 37, LEE VINING 20 at Coleville: Sophomore Natalie Mohun scored 17 points to lead Sage Ridge.

COLEVILLE 44, BIG PINE 23 at Coleville: Daniella Sandoval and Miranda Sturdivant each scored 10 points to lead the Wolves.

Sheyanne Wilder led Big Pine with 17 points.
