High school basketball game scores database

12:00 AM, Feb. 17, 2013 EST

The Reno Gazette-Journal analyzed more than 7,600 basketball games played across all divisions in Nevada over the past four years.

We wanted to learn whether rules instituted to keep blowouts at a minimum are working. We found that they are not and that in some classifications the margin of victory is rising. Find your team's scores for the last four years below, or use the "more than 40 points" search function to see where the lopsided wins are occurring. For scores of 40 points or more, we've included an option to search by whether the school is from the north or the south. To get a listing of all of a school's games, both wins and losses, type the school's name in the school box. Otherwise, search using the drop down menu for winning and losing teams. Data includes every game from the 2009 season through Feb.11, 2013. For this database, 2009 means the 2009-10 season; 2010 means 2010-11; 2011 means 2011-12; and 2012 means 2012-13
