Div. I-A North girls roundup: Spring Creek rolls into semifinals

Arrayana Edwards made nine field goals en route to scoring 19 points, helping No. 2 seed Spring Creek to a 57-21 victory over visiting Lowry in the first round of the Division I-A North regional girls playoffs on Wednesday.

The Spartans' Madi Estes made six field goals, including a 3-pointer, for 13 points. Whitney Cook and Shawntel Andersen combined for 13 points.

For Lowry, Taylor Schwartz, Kylie McClellan, Carli Evatz and Alyssa Dendary each scored four points. On Friday, Spring Creek matches up against Fallon in the semifinals at Wooster High School at 3 p.m.

FALLON 46, FERNLEY 31 at Fallon: Cady Cordes scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Greenwave to a playoff win. Shayna Hicks and Ali Tedford each added eight points. For Fernley, Katie Braswell scored 12 points and Penny Kernes scored 11.

The Greenwave advance to the Div. I-A semifinals on Friday against Spring Creek at Wooster at 3 p.m.

SOUTH TAHOE 35, TRUCKEE 28 at South Lake Tahoe: The Vikings advanced to the semifinals by winning a battle between Lake Tahoe schools.

South Tahoe, will meet top-seeded Elko in the semifinals Friday at Wooster. The Indians beat Dayton on Tuesday.
