Spanish Springs softball player Myrissa Prince went 7-for-10 with a home run, three RBIs and eight runs scored in the Cougars' five wins this week.

April 7

Galena outfielder Ben Barnard blasted a two-run, walk-off home run Thursday to give the Grizzlies a 6-5 victory over Douglas.

March 31

Bishop Manogue senior Kayla Batastini picked up three wins in the circle this week and hit .700. She slammed three home runs, including a grand slam against North Valleys.

March 24

Damonte Ranch senior pitcher Kalyn Paque began the week with a pair of wins in a doubleheader against Carson and then won three games in the Torrance National Tournament in Calif.

March 17

Bishop Manogue baseball player Alec West was 3-for-3 with three runs scored on Tuesday and then went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBIs and he earned the victory on the mound on Thursday.

Feb. 3

Hug senior Raymond Kerr scored 28 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in the Hawks' victories over Wooster and Spanish Springs.

Jan. 27

McQueen senior Emma White sank six 3-pointers and had 28 points in Tuesday's win against Wooster.

Jan. 20

Pershing County's Sarita Jo Condie sank nine 3­-pointers en route to 42 points Tuesday against Fallon. The nine 3s rank as fifth-most in state history; the state record is 11.

Jan. 13

Hug senior Sam Wil­liams scored 45 points, on 18-of-23 shooting from the field, in a win over Reno on Tuesday and then scored 22 points in a loss at Douglas on Friday.

Dec. 16

Reed's Gabby Williams scored 40 points -- the first 40-point game of her career -- in the Raiders' 77-42 victory over Douglas on Friday night.

Dec. 9

Wooster senior JJ Harloff scored 32 points in a win over Incline on Thursday, and pushed his season average to 21 points through four games.

Dec. 2

McQueen senior guard Kody Eckert scored 25 points to lead the Lancers to a 57-56 victory over Bishop Manogue on Tuesday.

Nov.18

Reed senior Brett Chaney caught seven passes for 138 yards and three touchdowns in Friday's Division I North regional championship win over Damonte Ranch.

Nov. 11

Spanish Springs senior outside hitter Melissa Munley led the Cougars to their first volleyball state championship with 25 kills in the Division I semifinals Friday and 20 kills in the finals on Saturday.

Nov. 4

Damonte Ranch running back Drew Smith carried the ball 36 times for 329 yards (9.1 ypc) and four touchdowns in the Mustangs' 35-20 playoff victory at Reno High on Friday.

Oct. 28

Reed wide receiver Devin Gray made seven catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns, and added an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Raiders' 44-15 win at rival Spanish Springs on Thursday.

Oct. 21

Galena junior quarterback Brock Raggio threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Grizzlies to a 32-7 victory at Damonte Ranch that clinched the Sierra league title.

Oct. 14

Spanish Springs senior outside hitter Melissa Munley racked up 22 kils and 16 digs against Reno High and 18 kills and 10 digs against Galena in a pair of victories for the Cougars.

Oct. 7

Damonte Ranch running back Drew Smith amassed 215 yards from scrimmage -- 153 rushing and 62 receiving -- and scored the game-tying touchdown with no time on the clock Friday at Douglas.

Sept. 30

Bishop Manogue senior Kololia Atoa was one assist shy of a triple-double Tuesday against Galena. Atoa had 14 kills, 12 digs and nine assists in the Miners' three-game sweep of the Grizzlies

Sept. 23

Spanish Springs quarterback Hunter Fralick threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for another score in the Cougars' win over Douglas on Friday.

Sept. 16

Bishop Manogue senior midfielder Andrea Hernandez scored four goals Thursday in the Miners' 5-0 victory over Damonte Ranch.

Sept. 9

Reno High's Hart McGrath rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, caught an 18-yard touchdown pass and threw for a 23-yard touchdown in the Huskies' 51-14 win over Galena.

Sept. 2

Douglas' Connor Peterson rushed for 135 yards in the Tigers' 42-35 win Friday over McQueen to establish a new school career rushing record. He has 2,693 yards in two-plus seasons.

Aug. 26

Spanish Springs wide receiver Vance Lively scored four touchdowns in three different ways in the Cougars' season-opening win over Bishop Manogue. Lively scored on a 99-yard kick return, a 5-yard run and receptions of 68 and 46 yards.
