NEWS CENTER - The Fitzpatrick Trophy has been around for 42 years, but never before has there been as much debate about the list of semi-finalists than this year... Jack Dawson is the chairman of the Fitzpatrick Trophy and sat down with Lee Goldberg today to discuss among other things, the criticism that the 'Fitzy' is a predominantly Southern Maine award.
Dawson stated additionally that the 76 football are encouraged to nominate one senior from their team. This year the Fitzpatrick Committee received nominations for 14 players.
