South Portland (NEWS CENTER) - The Deering girls improved to 7-0 on the season after knocking off previously unbeaten South Portland, 45-37, at Beal Gymnasium. It's the Rams eighth straight win over the Red Riots.
Priots to the game, South Portland girls basketball coach Mike Giordano was honored with a game ball and plaque commemorating his 200th career victory, which he earned last Friday against Massabesic.
