Prep Roundup: Jay falls to Freeport in double-overtime

Friday night's game at Jay may have ended in a loss for the Royals, but Jay coach Jacob Jordan said he couldn't have asked for anything more from his team.

The Royals lost to Freeport 60-57 in double-overtime after a hard-fought game that saw the Royals up by one point at halftime.

Eric Trevino turned in a season-high 33 points in the effort for Jay.

Milton gets 1st win

The Milton Panthers picked up their first win of the season on Friday, edging Tate 66-61.

Free throws made the difference as Milton went 26-of-38 at the line while the Aggies managed 18-of-38.

Gulf Breeze built on its six-point advantage at halftime to defeat Panama City Arnold 55-41 Friday night at Gulf Breeze.

The Dolphins' Randy Halpin had a strong all-around performance with six points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Pine Forest remains unbeaten following an 80-52 win over visiting Tate on Thursday night in boys basketball.

ZeNavian Williams led the Eagles with 14 points. As it has done in a number of games this season, Pine Forest got out to an early lead against the Aggies and closed out the game with reserve players.
