Catholic boys soccer survives Washington for season's 2nd win

12:00 AM, Nov. 11, 2012 EST

In a back-and-forth game, the Catholic High boys soccer team survived.

The Crusaders' Will Keegan scored the game-winning goal with just 10 minutes left in Saturday's game against host Washington to give Catholic its second win of the season.

"The game overall was back and forth and very competitive," said Catholic coach David Toellner, in his second year with the Crusaders. "The goal came from a set play from Marcus Valles, who played the ball into the area, and it was knocked around until Will poked it in."

Catholic goalkeeper Derek Brown then made sure the Wildcats wouldn't be able to tie the game in its waning minutes, making save after save, Toellner said. Brown finished with 10 saves.
