Weekend Rewind: Tip Drill TD Gives Travis Upset Win (VIDEO)

1:45 PM, Nov. 19, 2012 EST

Facing a 4th and 10 and trailing Clear Springs (Texas) 35-31 with 16 seconds to play in a Class 5A state quarterfinal game, Fort Bend Travis (Texas) quarterback Teagan Nehls lofted a pass toward the end zone.

With two defenders draped on him, Travis receiver Cody Moncure manages to tip the ball in the air as he's falling to the ground and gets the same hand under the ball for a most improbable cach.

"That’s what playmakers do, and he’s a playmaker," Travis quarterback Nehls said.

After being assessed two penalties for excessive celebration, Travis kicked off from its own 13-yard line. Clear Springs didn't manage to get into position to attempt a game-winning field goal and its Hail Mary attempt as time expired fell incomplete.

Here are a few more interesting videos from the weekend...

Band vs. Football Team
This story is a week old, but it's worth sharing. The Spruce Creek (Fla.) band was performing before the Barracudas' home rivalry game against New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) on Nov. 9 when New Smyrna Beach players ran onto the field and interfered with the performance. The New Smyrna Beach principal has since issued an apology.

Huge Hit
Norman North (Okla.) player has the hit of the night in a Class 6A quarterfinal playoff game against Broken Arrow (Okla.). Norman North prevailed, 24-16.

In Traffic
Tahquitz (Hemet, Calif.) wide receiver Michael Stewart goes up to make a catch between two Oak Hills (Calif.) defenders.
Tahquitz went on to win a wild game, 67-56.

Amazing Punt Return
Embedding is disabled for this video, but we suggest you watch this punt return by North Andover (Mass.) sophomore Chris Cervizzi.
