Weekend Rewind: High School Football Players Go Gangnam

Top videos of the week includes a hip-hop anthem

8:07 AM, Oct. 01, 2012 EDT

Every week during the high school football season, we'll take a look at some of the more interesting videos that appear on YouTube. From highlights and lowlights, to interviews and outtakes, everything is fair game.

Last Week's Rewind: Amazing Finish and Red Turf

I Wanna Touchdown Now

In a previous Weekend Rewind, we introduced you to "Naples High 'Til I Die," a hip-hop anthem devoted to the Naples (Fla.) football team. From the same genre, we give you "I Wanna Touchdown Now," an ode to the Hough (Cornelius, N.C.) Huskies. Artist I.C.E. Ike has gotten his wish -- touchdowns, now -- all season. Since opening with a loss, the Huskies have won six straight, including a 33-0 shutout of North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, N.C.) on Friday.

Skydive Before Petal-Oak Grove Game

The end of the Petal vs. Oak Grove game on Thursday was pretty exciting, with Petal knocking off the Warriors and handing Oak Grove's Brett Favre his first loss as an assistant coach with a Hail Mary in the final minutes. The pregame festivities featured some excitement, too. Here's first-person footage of a skydiver landing on the field.

Gangnam Style

The Aptos (Calif.) football team was feeling good after a 41-0 shutout of Santa Cruz on Homecoming, so they treated the crowd to a Gangnam Style performance. (It was a solid effort by the team, but we still think this version is better.)

Moanalua Entrance

This is one of the more amusing pregame entrances we've seen. Well done, Moanalua (Hawaii).

Oregon Marching Band

The University of Oregon Marching Band made a guest appearance at the Moutlake Terrace vs. Everett game on Friday in Washington.

The Chander Hamilton (Arizona) student section has some serious spirit.

Players vs. Cheerleaders Dance-Off

Soulja boy sighting! A few members of the Garrison (Texas) football team went up against the cheerleaders in a dance off.
