Lake Wales (Fla.) lost to Winter Haven (Fla.), 27-14, on Friday, but Highlanders punter Tate Mathewson made the play of the game.
Watch him corral a high snap at his own goal line and put a charge into a kick that travels 60 yards in the air and rolls another 37 yards before going out of bounds at the Winter Haven 3-yard line.
Given that punt distance is calculated from the line of scrimmage, this one was roughly 80 yards. Mathewson nearly had another impressive kick in the loss:

Mathewson and his father drove more than 3,000 miles this summer in hopes of attracting interest from a college program. This video should help.
