The Scoop: Targeted as a lightweight stability shoe, Under Armour's new Spine Venom running shoe is built to go the distance.

The upper area of the shoe integrates MPZ, which Under Armour describes as light and durable protective pads placed at key contact zones to help absorb shock. The technology also contributes to the shoe’s breathability.

Thin, responsive foam makes up the midsole to support takeoffs and cushion landings.

Made with 4D Foam in the sockliner and collar, the tech feature is purposed to conform to your foot and alleviate wiggle room so you get a custom fit.

The kick drops in a range of colors this spring for both guys and girls. Editor’s picks (pictured above): charcoal for the ladies (a good balance of fierceness and femininity) and steel for the dudes (all grey would be a little dull, so the red adds a complementing pop).
