Recap: Marquel Hines rushed for three second-half touchdowns for the host Hurricanes, who pulled away after Cypress Bay got to within 14-7 in the third quarter. Cypress Bay rushed for 322 yards in defeat.


No. 2 John Curtis (River Ridge, La.) -- 50
Newman (New Orleans) – 0

Recap: Wearing pink uniforms in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Patriots scored touchdowns on seven of their first eight possessions. John Curtis' defense limited Newman to 74 total yards.

No. 3 Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.) -- 18

Recap: In a back-and-forth game, the Indians scored the go-ahead touchdown with 44 seconds left and intercepted a pass on the Rebels' ensuing possession to secure the upset win.

Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, Texas) – 7

Recap: DeSoto quarterback Desmon White threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns, and Oregon commit Dontre Wilson rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles' blowout win.

Mount Si (Snoqualmie, Wash.) -- 10

Recap: Budda Baker had a 53-yard touchdown run and 36-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter, as visiting Bellevue routed previously unbeated Mount Si.

Amador Valley (Pleasonton, Calif.) -- 24

Recap: Tiapepe Vitale rushed for 142 yards and visiting De La Salle forced five turnovers in the win.

Recap: Adam Taylor rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns and Katy finished with 477 yards of offense in the blowout win.

Recap: Host Camden County took a 13-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to the shutout win to improve to 7-0.

Recap: The host Bulldogs took a 31-0 lead into the half and improved to 8-0 with the easy win. The 14 points scored by Providence were the most that Butler has allowed this season.

Recap: Alfred Ramsby threw for five touchdown passes for the visiting Cardinals, who led 38-6 at halftime.

Recap: Visiting Edina spoiled Eden Prairie's homecoming with the upset win.

Recap: Host Trinity held Male to minus-18 yards in the first half.

Recap: Georgia commit Tramel Terry had 151 total yards (74 receiving, 77 rushing) and three touchdowns to lead the host Gators to their 21st consecutive win. Goose Creek scored a touchdown on its first seven drives.

Recap: Hoover forced seven turnovers and overcame a slow start to beat host Hillcrest. Connor Short connected with Michael Powers on a 71-yard touchdown pass for the Bucs, who led 14-7 at halftime.

St. Francis (Athol Springs, N.Y.) -- 0

Recap: Tim McVey rushed for a season-low 36 yards, but he scored three touchdowns for the Wildcats, who improved to 8-0.


Cocoa (Fla.) -- 24
No. 18 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) -- 14

Recap: Cocoa had three interceptions and became the first public school team to win on the Crusaders' home field since 2004.

Recap: Host Gorman recorded its third shutout in the last four games.

Recap: Gavin McDaniel rushed for 118 yards for visiting Coppell, which led 19-0 at the half. Luke Jenner and Jacob Logan had rushing touchdowns for the Cowboys.

No. 21 Carmel (Ind.) -- 7

Recap: The Giants claimed a share of their first Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference title since 2003 by limiting the Greyhounds to 153 total yards. Sophomore quarterback Kyle Castner was 15-for-19 for 215 yards for Ben Davis.


St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) -- 24
No. 23 La Salle (Wyndmoor, Pa.) -- 16

Recap: La Salle took a 16-10 lead into the fourth quarter, but couldn't hang on against St. Joe's in a game that featured 11 turnovers.


No. 24 Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) -- 22

Bishop McNamara (Forrestville, Md.) -- 0

Recap: Leo Ekwoge scored three touchdowns for the host Falcons, which led 7-0 at halftime. CJ Carroll hooked up with Reggie McGee for a two-point conversion after Good Counsel's second touchdown.


No. 25 Dr. Phillips (Orlando) -- 21
Edgewater (Orlando) -- 14

Recap: Dr. Phillips took advantage of a botched quick kick to defeat visiting Edgewater. With the score tied 14-14 late in the fourth quarter, Edgewater's quarterback attempted a quick kick from his own end zone. The ball bounced off an Edgewater offensive lineman and was recovered by Dr. Phillips linebacker Jarius McMillan, who returned it five years for the winning score.
