SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - A North Dakota high school principal says appropriate action is being taken after three students briefly donned Ku Klux Klan-style white robes and hoods during a state hockey semifinal game.
Red River High principal Kristopher Arason says an investigation determined the students wore the attire for 30 seconds to a minute during the Friday night matchup at Ralph Engelstad Arena before other students in the section complained.

A photo posted to Twitter shows the three hooded fans in the middle of the section, in which everyone is dressed in white for a "whiteout" tradition.

Arason says the behavior is not representative of the student body.
Red River beat Fargo Davies 2-0. The Fargo school is named after the federal judge whose 1957 rulings integrated a Little Rock, Ark., high school.
