11:15 AM, Oct. 26, 2012 EDT

Puma / The Disc Blaze running shoe features no-lace construction. Instead, the foot stays secure with a disc closure system.

What: Puma Disc Blaze Sneakers
When: Available now
How much: $135
Where: puma.com
The Scoop: More than an eye-catching detail, the shoe's green overlay is a major performance feature. The tech detail is a throwback to Puma’s 90s running technology.

AKA the Trinomic era, the technology is marked with hexagonal graphics and provides exceptional motion control. In place of shoelaces, the running shoe features a disc closure system to keep the foot secure.

The shoe stays lightweight thanks to a seamless construction and a light foam-rubber bottom.
