Oshkosh (Wis.) North had already scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes of the first half against Fond du Lac (Wis.) on Friday, but the Spartans wanted more. They'd get it, but only after a bizarre sequence of give-and-take.
An interception gave North the ball on the Fond du Lac 49. Spartans quarterback Nate Neveau heaved a Hail Mary toward the end zone, but it was intercepted. That's when things got really good.
The Cardinals' cornerback fumbled the ensuing return near the original line of scrimmage, where it was scooped up by Neveau and returned 49 yards the other way for a touchdown. (It was a bit of sweet revenge for any quarterback who has ever been decked after throwing an interception.)

"Obviously that’s a huge momentum turn for us,” North coach Chris Kujawa told the Fond du Lac Reporter. “And it probably changed their game plan a little bit.”
Fond du Lac coach Mike Gnewuch said he'd never seen anything like it.
“Just crazy, and when I saw that No. 7 had the ball, I knew that we were in trouble,” he said.
North went on to win, 31-15, spoiling Fond du Lac's homecoming.
