The Scoop: The Mexico shoe dates back to 1966, when the kick was the first to show off ASICS’ trademark stripes.
While the Mexico is better recognized as a low-profile kick, Onitsuka Tiger designed a mid-cut leather boot version that's great for strolling around in this season.
Style points go to the leather fringe around the ankle, which gives the shoe unexpected character to what would otherwise be a muted design.
The boot is detailed with a suede toecap for a small but smooth pop. And the bordeaux color works well with earthy fall shades of brown, green and gray.
