Rookie wide receiver Rueben Randle is one of seven ALL-USA selections on the New York Giants roster.

High schools across the country ushered in football season beginning in mid-August. College teams got in on the act as early as last Thursday. Tonight, the NFL joins the party, as the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants host the rival Dallas Cowboys.

The game will mark the NFL debut of Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle, who was named to the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Football Team in 2008 after a standout senior season at Bastrop (Bastrop, La.). Randle played both wide receiver and quarterback in high school. As a senior, he passed for 2,461 yards and 20 TDs, and ran for 683 yards and 12 TDs.

Randle starred at LSU, where he helped the Tigers advance to the 2012 BCS Championship Game. Following LSU's loss to Alabama, Randle announced that he would enter the NFL Draft. The Giants took him in the second round.

With Mario Manningham now in San Francisco, Randle has an opportunity to contribute right away as part of a receiving corps that also features Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. Randle is one of seven ALL-USA selections on the Giants' roster; the Cowboys, by contrast, have only one.
