Missy Franklin leads her high school team to dual meet win on Senior Night

In her final home high school swim meet, Missy Franklin won all three races in which she competed to lead Regis Jesuit (Aurora, Colo.) to a rare dual meet win over Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, Colo.). The loss was Cherry Creek's 19th in the last 38 years, during which time the Bruins have won 26 state titles.

Franklin, who won five medals at the Summer Olympics, won't compete for Regis Jesuit again until next month's state meet in Fort Collins.

Franklin's decision to swim for her high school team this season has sparked some debate. In a Wall Street Journal article published Monday, one Cherry Creek parent questioned what Franklin has left to prove at the high school level.

But after Tuesday's dual meet, Cherry Creek coach Eric Craven told the Denver Post that "Franklin doing this is good for our sport."
