The LeBron James Arena at St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) High School officially opened on Saturday, one year after the arena's namesake and the school's most famous alum pledged $1 million to fully renovate it. The renovations included a new floor, as well as new bleachers, scoreboards, lights and locker rooms.
"The people at St. Vincent-St. Mary helped me grow as a person and as a basketball player, so this is my way of thanking them and helping future generations of Irish athletes also be proud of where they came from," James said in a press release.
