Allen (Texas) quarterback Kyler Murray rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-36 rout of then-No. 2 DeSoto in the Class 5A state semifinals on Saturday night. The performance got the attention of another dual-threat QB who orchestrated a major upset this season: Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

Texas A&M's Johnny Football followed Murray on Twitter on Sunday night and the Allen QB tweeted at his newest fan.

Manziel, who counts Roger Clemens, Adam Dunn and Dierks Bentley among his most recent follows, tweeted back.

As the Dallas Morning News pointed out, Murray's father, Kevin, played quarterback at Texas A&M during the 80s.
The younger Murray will lead Allen against Lamar (Houston) in the title game on Saturday. It's unclear whether Johnny Football will be watching. He'll most certainly be following.
