Shortly after enterprising and social media savvy high school senior Jake Davidson created the video above to ask Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton to prom, Davidson took to Twitter to spread the good word.
Before he even tweeted the video to Upton, Davidson tweeted it to an NFL free agent quarterback with 51,000 followers.

After tweeting at Colin Cowherd and Bill Simmons, Davidson, who lives in Los Angeles and is evidently a big USC fan, turned to another former Trojans QB.

Neither Barkley nor Leinart retweeted Davidson, but the video eventually reached Upton.

Davidson was on the Today Show this morning to talk about the video and was surprised when Upton joined the show via phone.
