The 12th annual Jordan Brand Classic is just 23 days away (coincidentally MJ’s number). This year’s premier All-American game will bring together the nation’s top-rated high school basketball players, including Andrew Wiggins of Huntington (W.Va.) Prep and Jabari Parker of Simeon (Chicago).
When the elite ballers convene inside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 13, the ultimate East versus West showdown will show off a premium Jordan Brand kick.
As part of the official 2013 Jordan Brand Classic uniform, players on the National Game roster will don a special version of the Air Jordan XX8. This iteration features an all-around fractal elephant print. The East team’s kick is colored in black and gold; the West team’s shoe is red and gold.
The Air Jordan XX8 kick is the lightest and most performance-packed sneaker in the Air Jordan franchise. The shoe is built with the Jordan Flight Plate, which is supposed to maximize the responsiveness of the Zoom airbags in the heel and forefoot to protect your foot from intense pounding. The shoe features an internal strap that wraps from the midsole and integrates with the laces, giving the foot lightweight lockdown.
