High school AD, two track coaches suspended amid alleged hazing incident

NEW YORK — An athletic director and two track coaches at the Bronx High School of Science have been suspended amid an alleged hazing incident at the elite school.

The Department of Education suspended the director overseeing track, Marion Dietrich, track coach Aisha Bruce and the assistant track coach, Cesar Gracia. It did not say if they were accused of any wrongdoing.

The suspensions Tuesday came a day after three students were charged in connection with the alleged hazing of another student.

The school and the two coaches did not return calls seeking comment.

The Daily News, which reached Dietrich on her cell phone, said she declined to comment.

The students pleaded not guilty at their arraignment last week and were released on their own recognizance
