Girls basketball player sinks winning free throws with dislocated shoulder

La Mirada (Calif.) girls basketball captain Madison Magill drove to the basket with the Matadores trailing Glenn 39-38 on Wednesday. The forward was fouled hard and stepped to the free throw line with some pain in her left shoulder.

“I just tuned out the crowd and shot them like I normally would,” Magill told the Press-Telegram.

Magill made both shots and La Mirada went on to win, 41-39.

It wasn't until after the game that La Mirada coach Darryl Gowens and Magill's father diagnosed Madison with a dislocated shoulder. The Press-Telegram reports that her dad popped it back into place before they got to the ER.

Ouch.
