De La Salle golfer Justin Pagila shoots a 62

De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) is known for its football program, which won a record 151 consecutive games from 1992 to 2003. The number that Spartans senior golfer Justin Pagila posted Monday at the Diablo Country Club was equally impressive.

Max Preps reports that Pagila, who will attend West Point, shot a nine-under par 62 in the De La Salle Invitational. His round, which featured seven birdies and a chip-in eagle on 18, is tied with two adult golfers for the lowest in the 99-year history of the course.

Paced by Pagila's remarkable round, De La Salle ran away with the team title, finishing 22 shots better than runner-up Christian Brothers (Sacramento).
