'Tis the season for girls to make history at state wrestling tournaments throughout the country.
On Wednesday, North Andover's Danielle Coughlin became the first girl to win an individual state wrestling title in Massachusetts.
On Thursday, Grand Valley's Cody Pfau became the first girl to win a match at the Colorado state wrestling tournament, which started in 1936.

Pfau defeated Ferdinando Martinez of Fort Lupton, 6-5, in the Class 3A 106-pound weight class.
In Friday's quarterfinal match, Pfau lost to Alamosa's Tel Kelley, 17-2.
