Weekend Rewind: Cascade shocks Garden Valley with desperation heave at the buzzer

Garden Valley and Cascade were tied 41-41 in Idaho high school girls basketball action on Friday with 2.4 seconds to play. With Cascade set to inbound the ball on its own side of the court, the game appeared to be headed to overtime. Jennifer Walter had other ideas. Walter caught the ball underneath her own basket, took two dribbles and launched a one-handed heave that somehow found the bottom of the net. Was it the buzzer-beater of the season?

The video below comes from last Tuesday, when Cleveland Central Catholic guard Greg Snyder lifted the Ironmen to a 69-68 win over St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) with a last-second 3-pointer.

Washington-Lee Downs Westfield
Not to be outdone, Washington-Lee (Arlington, Va.) sophomore guard Alex Seff drained a 3-pointer from halfcourt to beat Westfield (Va.), 77-74, on Tuesday.
