Kareem Coles picks up errant snap, throws 50-yard touchdown pass

Things weren't going well for Madison (San Diego) in the California State Division III Championship on Saturday. The Warhawks already trailed Marin Catholic (Kentfield, Calif.) 21-0 in the second quarter and now quarterback Kareem Coles was chasing an errant snap that rolled 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Coles eventually scooped up the loose ball and scrambled to the left, retreating even farther toward his own end zone. As he approached the sidelines, Coles let a high-arcing pass go. The ball settled into the arms of Lee Walker, who scored to cut the Marin Catholic lead to 21-7. The improbable touchdown was part of a 31-0 Marin Catholic run in the Warhawks' 38-35 win.
